A detailed advertisement to spread the word of an upcoming poetry and r&b open mic night. The poetry showcase is a special event to raise money for a community of teachers in the Ypsilanti, MI area. What’s interesting about the poetry showcase for me is that I absolutely love poetry. I have been writing since I was 16. So, having the opportunity to do a flyer that will bring other people that love poetry under one roof for only one night was amazing. The flyer had to be beautiful and special because we only had one chance to pull it off right. The night was a success. Maybe we will do another poetry showcase in the near future.
